Garage doors are often taken for granted. Either they work or don’t. Either they are pleasing to the eye or they’re not. What people really seem to want is one that works and as long as it does, folks are content.
1. Garage door opener works intermittently
This is one of the most common calls we receive. Intermittent working garage door openers are usually due to a faulty battery but depending on the type of garage door you own, it could a silicone-based lubricant could fix it.
2. Loud noise
Again, this is usually a lubrication issue. Visit your local hardware store, or call us, and purchase a silicone-based lubricant. Apply it to the areas that receive the most wear and tear.
3. Cracks in wood doors
If the crack hasn’t gone too far, you may fill with a water-based filler.
4. Weather cracks
The solution is simple. Add more weather sealant to the garage door cracks.
5. Garage door has trouble opening
Usually this is a spring issue. Replace the springs and your garage door should open with no problem.
